Different Genre Analysis; Pop/Hip-hop
Rocketeer - Far East Movement ft Ryan Tedder

The music video for this song has both performance and narrative aspects to it. This makes it strongly connected to the lyrics of the song, which we believe as a group one of the main things of making a really good music video. The speed of the cuts in the video are a little slow to create that certain relaxed mood to fit in very well to the chorus although, it gets faster towards the end to create excitement. The video has Montage editing were there is a lot of ‘clips’ cutting on each other to show the story behind the video which links to the narrative aspect of this video. There are a lot of close-ups in this video to show the main performers. This helps to emphasize the stars of this song. Cuts go with the beat of the song rarely to emphasize a relaxing mood. The chorus of the song involves a piano and there are close up of the artist playing that piano because it is an important convention of this video. There are no post production effects in this video to help create that relaxed mood.
